RVK Feminist Film Festival has a simple aim, strengthen female film directors and equalize gender deficit in the film business all over the world.

RVK Feminist Film Festival is a new feminist film festival kicking off on the 16-19th January 2020 in Iceland’s capital Reykjavik. A platform where women in the film business can meet, exchange ideas and encourage each other.

The festival will take place in the midst of the famed Icelandic winter, where you can experience world class film-making by female directors from all over the world, join in on eye opening Q&As and workshops, as well as lavish in all the Icelandic winter has to offer, Northern lights and all.

This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of the first annual RVK Feminist Film Festival and mingle with fellow women film-makers. Women’s heritage in all corners of the world is in danger because there is not enough focus on their stories. Generations to come will want to see the cinematographic film heritage of their people, country and also other cultures. It’s an important part of human evolution.

Like many of the great Film Festivals across the world, RVK. F.F.F. seeks to bring our audience compelling and unique content that inspires the viewers and honors the filmmakers.

RVK F.F.F. is a non-profit organization and we all work on a volunteer basis. If you’d like to help us keep this amazing festival going, you are more than welcome to click our donate button at the bottom of the page. We are so grateful for any contribution you can find in your heart to give us.
